Maybe it's the fact that we're comfortable around each other from working together in the past, and that I have a special place in my heart for them, but whatever the case may be, something just hits different when I photograph past clients.
It doesn't occur very often, but occasionally I will get a message from past wedding clients asking to have photos taken of their, now-growing, families. When this happens, I feel incredibly thankful for my amazing clients who trust me enough, to not only photograph their weddings but to document another important event in their lives.
So, when John and Esther contacted me to take photos of their sweet baby girl, I danced a little jig around my house and said "Of course!"
Last week Saturday we met at a studio in Edmonton. I hadn't seen them since their wedding party in 2021 where they were two people madly in love, focused solely on each other. This time there was something a little different, they now have a daughter who has captivated both of their hearts. You can feel the love they have for her in the air around them. From the way they hold her tiny hands, to the way they gently shush her when she cries, everything spews love!
John and Esther, I wish you the absolute best in raising your darling Hyacinth. She is blessed to have two amazing parents to love and care for her throughout life.
