Sturgeon County Family Session: Daniel + Bridgette

I thought I would write part of this post before the shoot to outline what my goals were.

I want to challenge myself for this shoot, so I decided to take the photos in the same location as last week's family session. I want to try and make the same location look different for each photoshoot. For me, photography would be very repetitive if there was no new thing to learn or goals to achieve or ways to push myself. If I shoot in the same places, I need to create something to push me forward and cause it to be fun and fulfilling. The other thing I wanted to do was change out my lens to my 28mm (I have a weird attachment to my 50mm). I bring the 28 along to every photoshoot, but either forget about it or go " Ya no. The 50 works just fine." So we will see...

They arrived and we headed over to the location. The sun was out and there was a slight haze. (My fave lighting situation!) The time rolled by and as I had them get into the last pose, my lens started making a weird noise. My heart dropped. I have a wedding the next day and the 50mm was my primary lens. We wrapped up and headed back to my house. We talked for a few minutes and they left. I ran inside grabbed my camera out of my bag. I shut it off and put the 50mm back on, and took a picture. It was working again!! Let's hope it doesn't die on the wedding tomorrow:)

Thank you Daniel and Bridgette for driving out my way. I had so much fun taking your photos!!

Thanks for reading!
