Camping? Who needs it?

I have never understood why people go camping. Driving out to a remote place to live in the bush for a week, getting eaten alive by mosquitos, and having to minimize your bedroom and kitchen space by, hmm, about 200%. Oh, and let's not forget how grumpy everybody is throughout the whole shenanigan. I understand getting the entire family together for the weekend, but come on; it's like a voluntary week of The Hunger Games! Well, maybe I'm being a little dramatic but why make your life harder? I know lots of people who go camping often and they enjoy it. Good for them, but I’m fine without ever having to think or speak about camping, and camping is fine without me.

The last time I went "camping" was in a cabin in Hope, BC. Was it fun? Nope! I don't think I have been so cold and annoyed in all my life. 6 people in a 10x10 box... not good. Thankfully this was just a one-night stay and there was the rental house on Vancouver Island we were going to be staying at to look forward to. Oh! The luxury of that house compared to the cabin. So like I said in the title, Camping? Who really needs it?

Happy Tuesday!

*Edit: I have since changed my opinion on camping and I will willingly try it out again, but I thought this post was too funny to take down. ZL -2022-11-12*
