Love is something that comes in many forms. To some, it is an overwhelming force, to others a gentle whisper.

Love opens your door and tucks you into bed at night.

Love leaves you sweet notes on the fridge and makes you feel at home… and Love is something I am lucky enough to document all the time.

Each morning as I clamber out of bed, I close my eyes and thank God for the extraordinary job he has given me, and for my incredible clients who trust me to tell their love stories through photographs.

I was 12 years old when I discovered my dad’s old wedding photography camera tucked away at the back of a closet. I remember the enthusiasm I had as my dad and I sat at the kitchen table and he taught me all he knew about photography and lighting. He patiently told me the same things over and over again until I understood them. He taught me to learn from my mistakes and do better at each photoshoot.

Soon after, I booked my first photoshoot. I can still remember my mom driving me over to the client's house and how I stood awkwardly around until the family was ready to drive to the location of the photoshoot. I was so nervous. The whole time my heart was in my throat and my hands were sweaty, but all the uncomfortableness was worth it because I LOVED taking photos.

After that photoshoot my name began spreading around and, soon, I was booking dozens of (free) family shoots. The next year, I second shot at my very first wedding and immediately fell in love with the glamour of weddings.

Today, I am photographing weddings all over Alberta making sure each wedding day is documented in my client's hearts as the best day of their lives.
